SuperstarElection.com is an independent political opinion-poll and reference platform for Tamil Nadu, operated from India. When we say "we," "our," or "us" in this policy, we mean the SuperstarElection.com team.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

Usage data – pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, and approximate location (country / state), collected automatically via analytics.
Contact form data – name, email, and message when you use our Contact Us form.
Poll votes – when you vote in an opinion poll we record your choice together with your network (IP) address. We store the IP address solely to stop the same person voting repeatedly in one poll. We do not use it to identify you, we never publish it, and we never link it to your name.

Your vote is anonymous. Poll results are published only as aggregate totals. We do not publish, sell or disclose how any individual voted.

3. How We Use Your Information

To display the site's content and remember your preferences.
To record and tally opinion-poll votes, and to prevent repeat voting.
To respond to your enquiries, correction requests and support requests.
To improve site performance and user experience through analytics.
To send you optional email newsletters if you have opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time).

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share data only in these limited circumstances:

Service providers – hosting, analytics, and email delivery partners who are bound by confidentiality agreements.
Legal obligation – if required by law or court order.

We do not share your data with political parties, candidates, campaigns or any of their agents.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary. Contact-form messages are deleted after 12 months. IP addresses recorded against poll votes are retained only while the poll is open and for 90 days after it closes, after which they are purged and only the anonymous aggregate result is kept. Analytics data is retained for 26 months in aggregate form.

8. Children's Privacy

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
